Starting Maintenance Work
Raise a request on an asset and see it become a planned, checked job.
The same verified thinking, now for maintenance. From an asset to a planned job in four views.
Step 1
Maintenance starts in the Asset Register. Each asset carries its own history, so work is always attached to the unit it happened on.
Step 2
A request is raised from Maintenance Requests. The fields that matter: the asset it concerns, the discipline, and a clear description of the fault. Your request saves as a Draft first, so nothing leaves your hands until you submit it.
Step 3
Each step is an explicit action by a person: Draft, Submitted, Under Review, Converted. The activity history records who moved it, and when. A converted request becomes a planned job, and WorkGateIQ is honest about what that is: a placeholder, not released for work, carrying no authorisation to start.
Step 4
Open the planned job and the checklist for its discipline, here Mechanical, is already attached, with people, documents, and requirements in place. The plan carries the safety thinking, so the crew does not have to reconstruct it.
