Handback, Closeout and the Record
Hand work back formally, close the record, and generate the evidence that answers for itself.
How the chain ends is what makes it trustworthy.
Step 1
Handback is a formal act, not a status change. A named person declares the work complete, confirms the outcome, and hands the asset back to service. Nothing slips back quietly.
Step 2
A closed job is a locked record. It is never edited or overwritten. Controlled amendment only, on top of the original. Weeks later, the record still says exactly what was done.
Step 3
The Evidence Pack assembles the complete job record into one document: asset, task, people, readiness, work evidence, inspections, exceptions, handback, and closeout. Available for any job state, ready to hand to an auditor or client.
Step 4
And beneath everything, the Audit Log: a read-only, chronological record of every system event, timestamped and attributed. If a question ever comes, the answer is already there.
